I've come to expect alot from the Farrelly brothers movies.  So when The Heartbreak Kid trailer was shown - boy, was I soo excited!!!  Needless to say, the movie did break my heart not because of the whole plot but it's just not funny minus the first 45mins or so of the movie!!!

The story starts off soo promising with Eddie informing his father, Doc, that he is attending his ex-fiancee wedding and how his father tried to dissuade him and join him at Vegas instead.  Feeling like the biggest loser at the wedding, with constant ribbing from his best friend, Mac, played to perfection by Rob Corddry, he rethinks his life and got hitched 2 weeks later after meeting Lila (Malin Akerman) a beautiful with many undesirable quirks.

Needless to say, before and during the honeymoon in Mexico, Eddie feels that Lila is not the girl for him instead he found that Miranda (Michelle Monaghan) the lacrosse coach is the ONE for him.  Attempts after attempts to tell Miranda and her family about his situation found him in a lame not funny position.  So with all feel good movies, you can predict the ending.  Eva Longoria has a cameo role at the end.

2 hours of on and off laughter with many quiet moments....I wonder whether the Farrelly brothers have lost their touch or they really need Cameron Diaz back.
