  NFC Phone Trial
NFC Assignment
Just realised I can upload reports on my NFC experience. Here's one of my blogpost I did about a month ago. More posts at http://mynfcjourney.blogspot.com

This morning, the NFC phone failed during my exit at Clementi. The gateflashed red and I quickly headed to the Station Control to ask thestation officer to "check" the phone. Quite embarrassed because it'sthe morning crowd and I broke the fast pace with a high-tech toy :)

Theofficer said the NFC phone could not be detected. The phone was stillpowered on though. As I was in a hurry (morning rush mah), I removedthe battery, replaced it quickly and tapped at the gate to try. *Bloom*and the gate opened! Heng ah!

As usual, I had to switch the phone off in the office. This time round, I'm facing more problems trying to enter my SIM Pin! The buttons simply refused to respond. Removing and replacing the battery countless times did not help. Jialatz. So I simultaneously pressed the buttons and suddenly, the phone displayed "Emergency call ended" (or something like that) and I managed to key in my pin. I encountered the same problem again later and after pressing the many buttons, I got a "Pin too short" (or something like that). No choice, I had to do that to get the buttons to respond since removing the battery didn't work anymore.

Verdict - At least now I know the NFC can work when it's powered off but having the NFC failing me during peak hours isn't very welcome though. And the problem of the buttons is getting on my nerves. Is it a NFC trial or a handset trial, I wonder. Nevertheless, my work around to that button-problem remains at 1) Removing the battery or 2) simultaneous pressings.
