  The zombie slayer!
Resident Evil: Extinction

Resident Evil 3 was amazing! It was far better than what I had expected it to be. I know, there is a slight possibility that I may be biased with this entry, so I shall say favouritism aside (for the record), this movie was well worth the wait!

From the moment it started right till the end, there were no dull moments. The plot was captivating, though the ending could have been lengthened a tad. The special effects were spellbinding! In this 3rd part, the zombies finally look realistic. In the earlier 2 movies, they looked plastic! Also, now that the virus had mutated, these zombies were mean(-er), tougher and cleverer. Thus, making the action sequences (and the CG effects) top notch!

For a movie based on a video game, I have no qualms, (unlike Doom which sucked ass.) I felt that they stayed true to the plot and didn't try to do too much to the movie. Special effects were appropriate and not too showy. The scene where she stopped the raging fire just with her eyes and burnt all the crows was almost biblical! Those few seconds reaffirmed to me that I chose the right role model!! Come on, who would not want to be Alice?! She saves the day (aka kicks ass butt) in yet another I-wish-I-could-look-half-as-good-as-her-in-that-outfit outfit. This movie's set in a desert, so she can't exactly be dressed in a cocktail dress or a doctor's robe.

With each movie, her powers grow, her strength increases and her beauty is non-comparable. All of which she realises as the plot progresses. It looks as though she has the Force, I kid you not. She levitates rocks/boulders (like RotJ) and even her chopper too!

I can totally go on with this review but alas work beckons. Till the next awesome review :)
