My 15 minutes of Fame!

Well it started off with applying for MTV Pop Inc at RippleVox to be a VJ for a day.The next thing i knew,i was chosen for it.Stunned as a block,i sat in front of my computer reading the email Brent & team sent me..making sure i wasnt seeing stuff.So after taking some time for my brains to digest that information,i stood up and started dancing in my room.Haha! yah something like that..anyway then came a lot of questions popping up on my mind like What am i gonna wear? what am i gonna say? But lucky for me,i did catch Nicole on tv the other time when she did the Denim Decon Workshop at Lasalle SIA so i pretty much know what to expect.yeah not to forget, Nicole looked sweet on tv.hehe anyway..fast-forward to the day of the shoot..(hmm..that line sounds familiar)

So there i was,in the train..making my way to Orchard & having second thoughts about goin cos it was raining so heavy i couldnt even see whats like 20m in front of me.yeah it was that bad..& my shoes were all wet too.i was like arghh! (khai imagines himself kneeling down in the middle of the road looking up to the sky then shouts Nooooooo!!!) ahhah..yeah just like Zan said being cool means not bringing an umbrella..ahha so i was at Lucky Plaza waiting for a kind soul to shelter me all the way to Paragon..not like i wasnt wet already..so thank you so very much Samantha for the shelter.heh this girl nice enough to shelter me all the way there..

Ok..i was like walking very fast thinking i was late but once i reached GAS jeans boutique..no one was there yet..(khai hears crickets in the background)..then came Zan,the first RippleVox member to arrive there..standing outside the shop too but i didnt dare approach her cos with her leather boots she just looks like someone whose shopping for jeans at GAS so i didnt wanna scare away any customers away.oh yah..since i never really heard of GAS before..i did checked out the prices of their jeans & i almost fainted.hah..ok so Zan did come up saying hi & we chatted until everyone else came.

The waiting for the shoot was kinda long..my legs were already having cramps..then suddenly it was my turn to do my thing on camera..since its my first time in front of the camera..i thought i was kinda stiff but it was fun doing a few takes over & over again..trying to sound better the next take.As we(RippleVox members) were judges for the finals too,i looked at every single piece put up by the participants closely..like as if im some hot shot fashion designer..yah rite..but i do have a talent in spotting everything nice..so Victoria's denim dress caught my eye & i was imagining how hot a girl would look in that dress..so yeah she ended up winning..nice work!

Well..to sum it all up..it was a good first hand experience cos i got to meet a lot of people & best of all i got to see myself on tv yesterday & i was like laughing the whole time seeing myself speak on tv..it was kinda short tho considering we did shoot a lot but heck it was fun anyway..having flashbacks of the shoot..all fun & laughter..thanks MTV & the RippleVox team for giving me this chance especially Veronica.sorry for the late article yah..i would also like to add that its been nice meeting you Nicole,Zan & Bella who happens to be my schoolmate..its been fun..so what are the rest of you waiting for..hurry up & apply to be VJ for a day, RippleVoxers!
