Role Models is basically a comedy film about two salesman (Danny and Wheeler) who are made to do 150 hours of community service, or face jail term. They end up being made to “volunteer” at a big brother style programme called , the judge’s favourite charity. Catch the movie to find out how these two grown men cope with one little rascal Ronnie and one not-your-average-teenager Augie.
What I had liked about the movie, had to be how it made me laugh from the start all the way until the credits, with its slapstick jokes. My favourite character, without a doubt, would be Ronnie, Wheeler’s mentee. It’s interesting to see how much resemblance he has with kids today, loudmouthed, crude, yet very much a child at heart. The scene where he had to play death (you would HAVE to watch the movie to understand) at the LAIRE was classic. Even the name of the new nation (KISS-My-Anthia) caused the audience to burst out in laughter. There were many suggestive dialogues in the movie, and it would be hard-pressed to miss them. Watch out for the “King’s” (of LAIRE) conversation with Danny at the Burger Hole.
This is definitely a movie for those who need a dose (or many) of laughter, but only if you’re above 16. :)
