Okay, so I didn't literally DRinK any wine. I meant it in the metaphorical sense. To make the line sound like the song..hehe.. or one could take the wine to mean relief/joy/amusement. You pick. =)

Well, what happened was, googol thanks to Ripplevox and MTV, I got the chance to meet and interview Joi Chua before her showcase at SMU on sept 29th!

It's gonna be screened on MTV's Pop Inc. soon! So watch it! (Word: define soon? hehe, NO. you must continuously watch the tube and be a couch potato until you see it!) And you cannot miss it; it's shown twice in the day after all. Keep checking back on the Ripplevox site and see what the pop inc. trailers say about it!

I usually am not a fan of Chinese pop, especially soppy Chinese pop, (i like shanghaiese rap though! its so funny& the lyrics are rad), but wow, Joi has an AMAZING voice! I was awed with it when she sang in the interview..

Personally I feel her songs are well suited to soothe. I listened to her album at the MTV office before the interview, and I just felt as though wave of calm was washing over me.  Yours truly here had been worried about how the interview would go and if I would muck it up by asking some super random question, resulting in the "golden" silence and awkward elbowing, then the shout: CUT.

I am very much inclined to hearing the words: it's a wrap!

Anyway, nothing went wrong, thank God.

Her showcase was GREAT too! I sat in the VIP booth.. hehe.. made me feel so special. And I loved it when she walked into the crowd and sang! She made her show a lot more fun then.. haha, I encourage you to go and watch her perform, its sweet.

Sigh.
She be cool.
And now I be a fan!
I really do hope she would record an English album soon…
