Alright, so how it all began?
Got an email telling me about being part of a team for Singapore Idol assignments and MTV Pop inc. I think that's how everybody's beginning journey started. I thought to myself Singapore Idol it is.

So, I applied and after a few days, I got an email from Brent and the Ripplevox Team. I thought I was selected for the current Singapore Idol assignment. But no, bummer! Instead they asked me whether I wanted to be involved with something like interiewing Taufik Batisah. That was MUCH and EVEN BETTER! Always been a fan! So i said ok and met up with Brent at the Ripplevox office. In the email, he said about just meeting me at the office. But, when i was there Brent said "ok, just be natural, look at the camera and answer my questions,"

I was like erm, I'm going to be video recorded?? How come I didn't know??? Haha. Aniways, I was so nervous, I didn't know what I mumbled on camera! I knew I kinda blew my chance.

Alright that aside, a couple of weeks later, I received an email from Brent and the Team asking me whether i wanted to be involved in a Pop Inc episod with Taufik Batisah!! Woohooo!!!

So, 4th Sept came. The day i'm going to meet Taufik!!! Excitement excitement!! Arrived at the office at about 315pm on 4th Sept 2006. I was late. Shyna , another ripplevox member was already there. Met up with Brent and Veronica. First time meeting her. Nice, friendly, welcoming. We waited for Francis. Thank God i wasn't the last to arrive. I thought I was. Laughs.

When Francis came, we headed down to Hype Records. That was where the shooting was going to take place. We arrived and was briefed about the whole episode. It was using this dating concept to introduce MSN on i mode. So, by using our screen names, Taufik was suppose to chat with us not knowing who we are and choose one that he would like to go for a date with. I was Hunney B, Shaina was Rockchic and Francis was Lovebunny. Haha! Taufik had NO idea one of us was a guy. Lovebunny?? Haha. That was funny.

After the whole chat session, when we entered the room where Taufik was the whole time, and .... you guys should have seen the look on his face!! Hahaha! He was so shocked! I wanna say he was punked?? But lets be original, he was Ripplevoxed!

We were kinda hoping he would choose Francis but, he chose Hunney B! Which was me! Hahaha. So yeah, I got chosen! But of course there wasn't gonna be a real date. Haha. It was fun experience. Getting to meet Taufik and actually introducing yourself to him and shaking hands with the Idol? It was such a great experience that is going to be registered in my mind forever.

So, in conclusion,

To Brent, Veronica, Ripplevox, the shooting crew and everyone who was involved, Thank you for the whole enriching and fun experience!

To Taufik, No matter how many future Singapore Idols there are going to be, you will still be THE Singapore Idol. No one can replace you! You're the greatest! Best wishes for your upcoming album!
